At True North Mission, we believe every follower of Christ is a sojourner—a pilgrim called to walk faithfully in a world that is not our final home. This identity shapes the way we serve, disciple, train, and partner with the church.

Our leadership team is committed to equipping believers to navigate life on mission with clarity, conviction, and gospel hope. Each leader brings experience in ministry, theological training, family discipleship, and community engagement—all rooted in the conviction that we are a people sent by Christ, sustained by grace, and shaped by the Scriptures.

Our Leadership Philosophy

As a community of Christian sojourners, we believe that every follower of Christ is called to live with purpose, humility, and mission as we journey through this world. Our leaders—many of whom serve bivocationally—model this pilgrim identity by faithfully carrying the gospel into both their workplaces and their ministries.

We do not see secular work and spiritual work as rivals, but as shared avenues through which God forms His people and advances His mission. By embracing our sojourner calling, we recognize that every place we step, every neighbour we meet, and every vocation we hold becomes a space for witness, service, and grace.

A Collaborative Approach to Kingdom Work

In a world that prizes independence, we choose pilgrim partnership. Our pastors, elders, and ministry teams walk together as fellow travelers—encouraging, equipping, and supporting one another in the journey of faith.

We are convinced that the mission of God is far too significant for isolated leadership or individual ambition. Instead, we cultivate a culture of shared responsibility, open communication, and humble cooperation. As sojourners, we carry the weight of ministry side by side, trusting that God uses the gifts of His people collectively to strengthen His church.

Expanding the Kingdom of God as Sojourners

The heartbeat of our ministry is formed by this truth: we are strangers and exiles in the world, yet deeply rooted in Christ and sent with His gospel. Our bivocational leaders embody this by living missionally in their workplaces, neighborhoods, families, and church life.

We believe the kingdom expands through ordinary disciples living extraordinary gospel-shaped lives—teachers, tradesmen, parents, business owners, students, and volunteers who see every setting as a temporary outpost for eternal work.

Together, we pursue Christ’s mission as fellow sojourners, longing for the day when our journey is complete and the kingdom comes in fullness.

Below you will find the leaders who help guide this mission, along with the stories that have shaped their hearts for equipping the saints as sojourners.

Pastor Wallie B. — Founder & Executive Director

“The sojourner identity reminds us that mission is not a program—it is our way of life.”

Wallie founded True North Mission with a deep conviction that the church thrives when believers are trained to live as sent people. With experience in pastoral ministry, organizational leadership, and theological education, he has a heart for equipping churches, strengthening leaders, and supporting families on their journey of discipleship.

For him, the sojourner motif is not abstract theology—it is a pastoral reality. It grounds believers in their heavenly citizenship while giving them purpose in everyday life. His leadership helps ensure True North Mission remains faithful to Scripture, focused on the gospel, and committed to equipping the church for mission.

Wallie is married to his wife, Jenny, and they have five children. They are devoted in foster/adoptive care ministry, classical christian education, and enjoying family time from hockey to board games. Wallie holds degrees from Liberty University and Westminster Seminary California, including a Master of Divinity. He has experience in law enforcement and currently serves as an Air Force Chaplain.
